BOGOTA, March 19 (Xinhua) -- Winger Luis Diaz and striker Luis Suarez were named in Colombia's 26-man squad on Thursday for friendlies against Croatia and France in the United States.

Diaz has been in prolific form for Bayern Munich this season with 22 goals and 18 assists across all competitions while Suarez has 32 goals and seven assists for Sporting Lisbon.

Manager Nestor Lorenzo also included Minnesota playmaker James Rodriguez, Palmeiras midfielder Jhon Arias, Galatasaray center-back Davinson Sanchez and Crystal Palace full-back Daniel Munoz.

Juventus defender Juan Cabal earned his first national call-up since October 2024 after recovering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament that sidelined him for a year.

Colombia will meet Croatia in Orlando on March 26 and France in Washington three days later.

The matches will provide Lorenzo with his last chance to test players before naming his squad for the World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada. Colombia will begin its campaign against Uzbekistan in Group K on June 17.
